Seasonal Advice tires and light bulbs

Always check light signal devices and tire pressure during any type of climate change, mainly spring and fall. The temperature and humidity changes always effect these 2 important features of your vehicle. You'll notice other vehicles with a taillight, brake or headlight not functioning or possibly your own vehicle pulling to one side or another as you drive. The change in temperature and humidity greatly effect these important safety and operational features on your vehicle. The light bulbs generally have to be replaced although sometimes cleaning the electric contacts will solve these problems. Always make sure the car is not running and the keys are out of the ignition. Follow VEHICLE OWNERS MANUAL for proper procedure.

The tire pressure situation is more common with vehicles with aluminum wheels although change in tire pressure can also happen with a steel wheel. Nitrogen added to the tires will help this problem because it does not react to temperature changes as much as just adding air. Follow OWNERS MANUAL for instructions because some vehicle manufacturers do not recommend  adding nitrogen. (Low tire pressure causes excess tire wear, unsafe vehicle handling and poor fuel economy.)
